I thought a good way to honor my Dad on Father’s Day was to interview him about his early life before my birth and spend time with him as he identified people in old family photographs. My Dad’s almost 87 years old, but has the memory of a 35 year old! He remembers every detail of every photo I showed him—photos he’s passed on to me. I encourage everyone who reads this to sit down NOW with older members of your family and LISTEN while they recall years that are gone. Turn on a tape recorder, just take notes, or identify old photos while you can! If you wait too long, you’ll be sorry that you put it off. I’ve posted some my Margheim family photos in a Picasa web album that you can find here: http://picasaweb.google.com/jamison.becky Now that Dad has helped me with identifying others in photos, I’ll be adding more to the web album. You might want to do the same and share with all of us in the Margheim Family!
